The Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory is divided into four research axis:

  • Research Axis IMAGE: Interactions, Microbiomes, and Community Assembly
    • Understanding microbial interactions and guiding the functioning of microbial ecosystems in bioreactors
  • Research Axis In2Pro: Process engineering and integration
    • Design, coupling, and optimization of (bio)processes for better material recovery
  • Research Axis OPTIFIL: Optimization of Water and Residue Recovery Pathways: Quality, Safety, and Usage Trade-offs
    • Describing material quality and safety to improve the eco-design of recovery chains
  • Research Area MACODE: Modeling, Analysis, COntrol, and Digital DEvelopments of Biotechnological Systems
    • Formalization of data and knowledge
