An INRAE unit, the LBE conducts research focused on the concept of environmental biorefineries.

Analytical resources

  • Measurement of methanogenic potential (BMP) and hydrogen potential (BHP), anaerobic and aerobic biodegradability tests
  • Physico-chemical analyses: COD, TOC/IC, CHNS, GC (gas, VFA), HPLC (metabolites, organic micropollutants), sequential analyzer
  • Molecular biology (PCR, qPCR) and microscopic tools
  • Spectroscopic measurement (IR, visible, UV, 3D fluorescence)
